Christmas tree

We are having a Christmas tree this year.  In the spirit of a "green' Christmas it is a living, breathing still rooted in the ground tree in the garden.  I think the timing will just be right.  There are thousands of budlights.  Thousands!!

The slightly orange shade of red tinsel is starting to arrive.

 Today the multicoloured (parrot) baubles installed themselves with a flap and a lot of squawking.

I think they were checking out what is to come.

Two seasons of good rain has the Western Australian flowering gum bursting to put on a show.  A couple of sunny warm days might speed the display along.
