Busy creating

I have been trying to make this a handmade Christmas. Finished the last of the Christmas cards last night. Lots of presents have used paper and .... Can't tell all and no photos to show yet as the presents haven't been delivered to their recipients.
Shall be back after Christmas with some show and tell.

A Birthday Recipe - no calories

Over the weekend I was designing a birthday card for a lady soon to be 83.
What to put in the mix? Nothing too sweet. Nothing too fussy.
I finally decided the design would be based on the card class which looked like this.

For the ingredients I chose the new KaiserCraft paper series Spirograph. Mixing papers Spiro and Rosette with ColorMates Light Luscious Lime and Deep Aweaome Aqua this is what came out. The overall look is mint green.

If only I still had my Spirograph set so I could add some custom highlights inside the card.

Shaker Cards

Making a shaker box for a card was the focus of the last Christmas card class of the year at Chandon Craft this week. Though the design threw up some challenges for class participants not a single microbead was spilt in the making of the shaker boxes!
Here is another card to show the use of the construction for a different event in the year to come.

I finished off by decorating the inside to match the shapes and colours I used on the front of the card.

So what Frinkles and microbeads do you have lurking in your stash? Let them see the light!
